Rifadin is used to treat certain types of serious bacterial infections, such as treating some cases of bacterial meningitis and as a preventive measure for people at risk of Neisseria meningitidis infection.
Rifadin may also be used to treat Staphylococcus aureus infections that are resistant to certain other antibiotics, when used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
